April March – In Cinerama. The cover is simple, with her name stacked in a heavy modern font in the upper left corner, underneath which is the "In Cinerama" logo, in which each letter is in a different colored block, the blocks arranged so they look like an unfolded strip of paper, each letter at an angle to the next. That is on a light-colored field; below the title is a slightly darker colored field. On top of that are three identical images of April March, the most prominent in black and white. Below and to the left of that is one in magenta, and on the other side of her and lower still is a third color of the same image. In it she is standing, peering off a bit to her right, right arm bent at the elbow and hand tucked into a pocket, her left arm straight at her side. She has shoulder length dark hair with long bangs reaching below her eye brows. her eyes are almond shaped, with large dark irises and strong lines of eyeliner on the upper lid. Her mouth is neutral, not smiling but slightly open. Her blouse has slightly puffy short sleeves and is very dark with small light shapes all over it, giving the impression of starlight. A bit of skin below the neck is showing, with a pendant partly visible. On her wrist she wears a heavy chain bracelet with an inscription plate of some sort visible. 0

Indoor Safari front cover – it features a photo of an older woman seated in a chair, surrounded by jungle-type greenery. She has straight, very dark hair with bangs, just shoulder length, and is earing a leopard-spotted sleeveless jumpsuit. She holds up a champagne glass, as if in a toast, in her right hand; her left hand is pressed to her hip, her wrist covered in various bangle bracelets. 2

Nick Lowe – Indoor Safari

Since I picked up a pile of used Nick Lowe records in the early 1990s, the rest of my Lowe collection was by way of CD. And all of my Los Straitjackets albums have...
