Françoise Hardy – L’Amitié
Another one from Françoise Hardy, this one from 1965 and, as with her other early albums, only released with her name; the title came later from the most popular song.
This one features some covers and collaborations, but is still very much Hardy’s own work (a distinction among the yé-yé singers, who mostly performed the work of professional songwriters). As I said last time, I just got into this French pop this past winter, picking up this and my other Hardy album from Forever Changes here in Phoenixville before the lockdown. The perfect Sunday morning album, when I want something quiet and pleasant to ease into the day.
