The Human League — Fascination
The Human League’s next release after their platinum Dare in the US was this 1983 EP, apparently pushed out while work was still proceeding on the next full album. It’s a bit meh, honestly. The extended version of “Fascination” needn’t have been extended. “I Love You Too Much” would be better refined when “Hysteria” came out the next year, and there’s nothing interesting about “Mirror Man” to me. So, I got it when it came out, still very much enamored of The Human League sound, but this didn’t make much impression on me. And playing it again nearly 40 years later, it still doesn’t.
