Bikini Kill – The Singles
Immediately after getting the Bikini Kill EP last fall, this collection of singles popped up on Bandcamp and I grabbed it immediately. No overlap with the EP, this is a series of singles released on Kill Rock Stars back in 1995 and 1998 – again, nothing I ever heard at the time. I learned about Bikini Kill after their day had passed, and they had clearly made a mark but not one I was ever exposed to. As with the EP, this is fun, angry, real energetic punk. And even though I’ve been a fan for about 7 months, I do intend to read Kathleen Hanna’s new memoir – sounds amazing.
