New Order – 1981-Factus 8-1982

My New Order records were all (as far as I can remember) a gift from my friend, former roommate and companion on our five-year musical journey, after he had moved across the country. I don’t remember the provenance of these, whether he picked them up in the US or on some travels (the two to come are both Italian pressings), but he thought I needed to know about New Order, which I really appreciate.
I know people go insane over New Order. I gave them some listens. It never really caught me. Maybe 10 years after he gave me these, I played them a bunch more, and tried to be into them. But I’m not. I never was. It’s fine, I would just always find something else to play before putting on New Order.
This one’s a five-song quickie, with singles that are on neither their debut “Movement” nor “Power, Corruption and Lies.” If you like tweaky synth and a relentless dance beat, this is just fine, but personally, it’s not the kind of stuff I listen to.
