Earth, Wind & Fire — Gratitude
I wrote last summer about how there was no Earth, Wind & Fire in my life, and then suddenly there was. At the time these records came out, I was a Top 40 radio devotee and loved just about any kind of music that could make the charts, but that didn’t translate into buying it all because I was a boy on a budget, and consequently EWF and several other seminal ’70s groups never made it into my collection. That was an error.
I just picked this up a couple of months back from Forever Changes. It is a big sound double live (mostly) album that couldn’t be more 1975 if it tried, and yet . . . still pretty timeless.
